Zhi Art Museum
Chengdu / Architect: Kengo Kuma

About
Located at the foot of the sacred Taoist Laojun Mountain, the Zhi Art Museum is a masterpiece of "pixelated" architecture designed by Kengo Kuma. Wrapped in thousands of traditional clay tiles suspended on high-tension wires, the building appears to dissolve into the surrounding mist. Named "Zhi" (知) for knowledge, the museum explores the intersection of Eastern philosophy and contemporary art, standing as a physical manifestation of the Taoist principle of Wu Wei.
