About

X Museum represents the vanguard of Beijing’s "Art-lennial" movement. Founded by Michael Xufu Huang and Theresa Tse, the museum moved to its permanent home at Langyuan Station in 2023. The "X" in its name signifies the unknown and the cross-disciplinary, reflecting a mission to support emerging talent and unconventional practices. The museum focuses on the intersection of contemporary art with digital culture, fashion, and social media, aiming to redefine the museum experience for a hyper-connected generation.

Housed in a repurposed industrial warehouse, X Museum is known for its bold, tech-forward curatorial approach. It serves as a vital platform for young artists who challenge traditional boundaries, often presenting work that explores the digital subconscious and global connectivity. Through its flagship "X Museum Triennial" and its international residency programs, the institution has quickly become a critical node for identifying the next wave of global artistic influence, making it the premier destination for experimental culture in Beijing.
