Founded in 1996, Para Site is Hong Kong's leading contemporary art centre and one of the oldest independent art institutions in Asia. Based in an industrial building in Quarry Bay, it produces ambitious exhibitions and publications that foreground the complex relationship between art and the shifting socio-political landscape of the Asia-Pacific region.

Revisiting the institution’s foundational 1996 exhibition, this project explores how urban space and memory have evolved. Featuring works by Tolia Astakhishvili, Heman Chong, Ko Sin Tung, Nawin Nuthong, Anna Sew Hoy, Bo Wang, and Stella Zhong.
