MOCA Yinchuan
Yinchuan / Art Supervisor: Suchen Hsieh
About
Located on the banks of the Yellow River, MOCA Yinchuan is the first major contemporary art institution in Northwest China. Designed by WAA to mimic sedimentary erosion, it is the first museum in China dedicated to the exchange between Chinese and Islamic contemporary art. Situated along the ancient Silk Road, it houses late Qing dynasty oil paintings alongside cutting-edge international installations, fostering a "global-local" dialogue.
