Long Museum West Bund
Shanghai / Founder: Liu Yiqian & Wang Wei
About
Opened in March 2014, the Long Museum West Bund is the flagship branch of the non-profit institution founded by collectors Liu Yiqian and Wang Wei. Located at the heart of the West Bund Culture Corridor, the museum is an architectural triumph designed by Atelier Deshaus. The structure is characterized by its unique "umbrella-vault" fair-faced concrete, which masterfully integrates a preserved 1950s coal-hopper unloading bridge into its contemporary fabric.
