BY ART MATTERS
Hangzhou / Director: Francesco Bonami

About
Located within the OōEli complex, BY ART MATTERS is the first museum in China designed by Renzo Piano. The architecture is defined by transparency, utilizing an aluminum facade and glass panels to flood galleries with light. Elevated above a water garden, the museum functions as a "vital process" rather than a static space. Under Francesco Bonami, it focuses on experimental contemporary art and site-specific commissions, serving as a critical avant-garde node in East China.
