About
798CUBE is one of the newest and most technologically ambitious additions to the 798 Art District's ecosystem. Functioning as an "international salon" for art exchange, the space was co-constructed by the China Foreign Culture Group Corporation to serve as a flagship for the integration of digital art and physical curation. It is defined by its focus on the "Metaverse Experience," acting as a Lightest Lab for digital arts in China. The architecture is a stark, cubic volume that provides a high-performance "black box" environment for immersive media and cross-disciplinary exhibitions.
The mission of 798CUBE is to provide a premier platform for the popularization of digital culture while maintaining a high academic standard for emerging media. By hosting the "First Meet" series of digital art showcases and serving as an art practice base for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the center bridges the gap between official cultural policy and cutting-edge independent tech-art. It remains a vital node for the 798 District’s evolution into a smart art cluster, fostering global dialogues on the future of virtual aesthetics and social connectivity.
